the oil and gas industry. This study seeks to unravel hidden details enwrapped in safety data which enable development of a model that would be effective predicting future occurrence industrial accidents. The purpose this is spotlight epidemiological impact accidents claim lives, maim personnel lower productivity through loss man-hours. major strategy adopted consists examination 10-year unified accident recorded from 2007 2016 sector Niger Delta Nigeria. Markov Chain was applied determine how workers habituate among different positions company before getting entrapped any absorbing states. records are examined for embedded properties, namely: stochastic regularity, behavior long-run distribution amongst various statistical computations were carried out with aid Matlab (R2017a) software. historical Health Safety Environment (HSE) found have an chain property. Thirteen (13) transition states defined named as; fatality, medical treatment, first cases, Lost time injury frequency, restricted work case, near miss, lost injury, environmental incident, fire unsafe acts, condition number attendance clinic. result also revealed staff makes between 17-18 habituations being trapped state. Remarkably, 99% organization had severe treatment cases (MTCs) as work-related occupational illness injury. implication policy outlook should reorganized reduce its workdays due minor illness.
